What are Behavioral Health Wellness Services?
Activities and programs promote individual, family and community behavioral health wellness. Our services include:
- Community education about mental health, suicide, substance misuse prevention, adverse childhood experiences and trauma.
- Consultation with parents and other professionals
- Parent education
- Youth prevention programs
- Dissemination of safe storage and disposal tools including medication disposal pouches, medication lock boxes and gun locks
Same Day Access
The Behavioral Health Wellness team coordinates and implements programs and community-wide strategies that promote resilience and well-being.
Lock and Talk Virginia:
Lock Meds, Lock Guns, Talk Safety

Hanover Cares Coalition
The Hanover Cares Coalition is dedicated to helping Hanover kids grow up alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free. This is a grass-roots organization that welcomes anyone interested in helping kids make positive choices. Hanover Cares is a partnership of Hanover parents, citizens, youth-serving organizations, and county agencies dedicated to positive youth development.
