Behavioral Health and Wellness
The Office of Behavioral Health and Wellness at Goochland Powhatan Community Services serves to reduce substance abuse and promote a healthy community through partnerships. Our role in partnering with other groups, agencies, and individuals includes:
1.) Participating in community task-forces and work groups related to suicide prevention,
substance abuse prevention, and mental health, and wellness.
2.) Providing Youth MHFA and Adult MHFA to groups of 10 or more.
3.) Using local data to understand how mental health issues and substance
abuse issues are affecting the population of Goochland and Powhatan Counties.
4.) Measuring the impact of resources, policies, and disparities in our
community so that we can enhance health in ways that are measurable.
Goochland County Community Services Board has offices to serve residents in both Goochland and Powhatan Counties.
